Central Industrial Security Force seized 1.3 kg of gold for from Afghan National

On 11-06-2014 based on profiling, CISF surveillance staff noticed suspicious activities of an Afghan passenger(Md Shamim) who arrived from Dubai en-route to Kabul. He was kept under close watch. After some time he was seen in food court area handing over a packet to some other Afghan passenger who was bound for Amritsar. Immediately Md Shamim was detained. On enquiry it came to light that he was involved in gold smuggling and handed over the gold to his associate who left for Amritsar by flight. Immediately description of the passenger was shared with CISF officers at Amritsar Airport. CISF officer at Amritshar airport detained the passenger. On checking, 12 gold biscuits weighting 1.3 kg were received. He had concealed gold biscuits under his shoes. He was handed over to Customs Officials with the recovered gold for further legal action.

CISF Pekiti Tirsia Kali Women Commandos

On 01.08.2014, valedictory session on "Pekiti-Tirsia Kali", a close quarter fighting combat system against multiple opponents was organized at CISF Unit, Delhi Metro Rail. A demonstration on "Pekiti-Tirsia Kali" by 1st batch of 25 CISF women personnel was also organized. This was followed by a demonstration by CISF women commando personnel on weapon handling and reflex shooting. CISF is looking forward to imparting training to other women personnel in more batches so as to make them self dependent. They will form part of the “ALFA Group” which is performing duties for security of women commuters travelling in coach reserved for ladies during peak hours and till the last Metro Rail operation of DMRC.

One minute Drill

CISF celebrated Independence Day in a ceremonial manner. In order to provide the security in a more professional manner, CISF has adopted many new initiatives, and one of them is One Minute Drill. The purpose of One Minute Drill is to sharpen the multi-tasking ability of CISF personnel which is the core capability of the force. By "One Minute" it means quick and decisive action in a very short time. People in large number gathered to attend the function and appreciated the response and toughness of CISF personnel. This drill not only enhances the efficiency and confidence of the force personnel but also instills a sense of security amongst general public.

First CAPF Coach to get Guru Dronacharya Award

On 29th August 2014, President Pranab Mukherjee presented Guru Dronacharya Award to Inspector/Exe Mahabir Prasad(Wrestling) at National Sports and Adventure Award function at Rashtapati Bhawan in New Delhi. He is the first coach amongst Central Armed Police Forces to get this award.

Heroin worth Rs. 20 crore smuggled from Pakistan Seized in Amritsar

The Border Security Force seized four kg of heroin with a street value of Rs. 20 crore, which was allegedly smuggled from Pakistan, near the international border in Attari today. A special search operation was launched during which four packets of heroin were found at a place 150-mt from the border. The value of the heroin was estimated at Rs. 20 crore in the street market

Chinese-made pistol, 115 gold biscuits seized by BSF

Troops and officers of the Border Security Force seized a Chinese-manufactured pistol with magazines and ammunition and gold biscuits worth Rs 3.7 crore from the India-Bangladesh border in the districts of Nadia and North 24-Parganas on Wednesday. Both the pistol and the gold were being smuggled into India from across the border.

SSB rescued 30 in Bahraich

LUCKNOW: The Sashastra Seema Bal on Sunday claimed to have rescued nearly 30 persons in the flood-ravaged Nainapur village and adjoining areas of the Nanpara tehsil of Bahraich district. Speaking to TOI from Bahraich, Commandant of 7th battalion of the Sashastra Seem Bal HNS Bisht said "relief operation in areas on the banks of Saryu began at around 9am on Sunday, and are on in full swing."
He added that two sections of jawans (nearly 20 men) have been pressed into action to assist the district administration in relief and rescue operations. "Primarily, we are evacuating people trapped in their homes, and also supplying food and drinking water to them provided by the district administration," Bisht said and added that the flood waters have washed away a large chunk of the villagers' cattle. SSB officials also said that more than 2.5 lakh people living in almost 400 villages are feared trapped in the latest spate of flood to hit Bahraich.

FAKE CURRENCY WORTH RS.1.00 LAKH SEIZED BY SSB

The troops of 51st Bn. Sashastra Seema Bal, Sonbarsa arrested One person namely Karunanand Saha S/o Nanto Saha resident of village Musahrania, district Sonbarsa with fake Indian currency of Rs.16,000/- and fake Nepali currency of Rs.86,000/- in the denomination of Rs.1,000/- and Rs.500/- respectively. He was arrested on a tip off from Intelligence wing of SSB, while crossing the Indo-Nepal border pillar No.327/54 in Sonbarsa on 27/5/2014 on motorcycle at 1630 hrs, said Shri Somesh Goyal, Inspector General(Ops & Int.) . He was carrying this currency to Sitamarhi. Further investigation into the matter is going on.
A case has been registered and the accused has been handed over to the Bihar Police alongwith fake currency and motor cycle for further action.

SSB NABBED FOUR HARDCORE MAOIST IN JHARKHAND

Sashastra Seema Bal Personnel/Jawan nabbed four dreaded Maoists in Tetergarha forest in Jharkhand. Shri Somesh Goyal, Inspector General (Ops & Int.) told that the operation was planned on receipt of a tip from our sources regarding the presence of Naxal group consisting of 20-25 Maoists in the forest. Troops of 49th Battalion SSB planned an operation with local Police and Cobra team of CRPF on the night intervening of 20 & 21 May 2014.
he joint operation to bust the hideout was launched in the night of 20-21 May 2014 between 2000 hrs to 2100 hrs. Four Maoists alogwith large quantity of Arms & Ammunition seized from their hideouts. Area Commander Sunny Uraon, R/o Vill-Ashakora, Distt-Gumla and Gandura Uraon, R/o Vill-Ashakora, Distt-Gumla and two members namely Visheswar Uraon and Sikander Uraon alongwith 19 live rounds, 4 fired round, 5 Rifles and 2 Carbine seized from their possession. Later they were handed over to the local Police for further interrogation.

SSB SEIZED 4 KG. GOLD ON INDO-NEPAL BORDER

Sashastra Seema Bal seized 4 Kg. Gold worth Rs.1.18 Crore(Rupees One Crore Eighteen Lacs) from Sanauli Border on Indo-Nepal border adjoining to Maharajganj District of Uttar Pradesh today.
The Troops of 1st Battalion SSB, Maharajganj arrested one person namely Arvinder Pal Singh resident of Punjab who was entering into India from Bangkok via Nepal. At Sanauli transit route SSB Troops checked him on suspicion and recovered the Gold during search. He was later handed over to local Police for further interrogation and legal action.
In similar instance, SSB Bagha unit in Bihar under Muzaffarpur Sector also recovered fake Indian currency notes worth Rs.83,000/- from two Muslims youths who were coming from Nepal by train.
